Wisconsin Triterium Triathlon
If you’re looking for a great race with some serious bragging rights, the Wisconsin Triterium Triathlon is for you! This multi-loop format is great for racers and spectators alike, giving the crowd an ample opportunity to cheer for their athletes. The venue for this event is Fireman’s Park in Verona, Wisconsin. Verona is just a few miles southwest of Madison. In 2002, Verona gained national prominence in the triathlon community during the Ironman Wisconsin event. The enthusiasm of the community for triathlons is unequaled and will make for an unforgettable experience.
An Event for All Levels!
Due to the looped format, both the Sprint and Olympic distance races are designed to be beginner-friendly, but challenging. The Sprint includes a 1/4-mile swim, an 11-mile bike ride, and a 5K run. The Olympic is a 1500-meter swim, a 25.5-mile bike ride, and a 10K run. With a safe swim, well-marked bike courses, and the spectator-packed run courses, beginners will enjoy this event.
For the more experienced triathlete, this course is a great race to test your limits. This moderately hilly bike and run course is a great place to show off your climbing skills, and for those athletes training for IM Wisconsin, a fantastic test of your ability to race hills similar to those found on the IM course.
